The NFI STEP II – Advanced Defensive Pistol course is intended for students who have a desire to employ the personal protection handgun from an outside or inside the waistband hip holster as well as to expand their competency and confidence to prevail in a tactical environment. This course is taught via a combination of “dry firearms manipulation” as well as “live fire” range drills. Students will be taught the fundamentals of drawing and holstering of handguns, “Immediate” and “Tactical” reloads, “TRAM” and “Rip-Tuck” pistol malfunction drills, as well as an introduction to verbal commands and vertical movement. The 4-hour course is designed to be taught at a pace that is safe yet challenging.

The uniform for the Step II – Advanced Defensive Pistol Course is range wear with the addition of an outside/inside the waistband hip holster, and a magazine carrier, and a belt that is sturdy enough to handle the firearm and ammunition while presenting. A double magazine carrier is preferred.  Also, bring a cover garment.

When a class is scheduled, these instructors are hired based on the number of students in the class. Certificates are prepared, ranges are reserved and the best training money can buy is reserved for YOU! Please let us know as early as possible if you cannot attend a class. Firearms training fees are completely refundable with a time stamped e-mail or text using the contact app on this website 14 days prior to the start date of your class. Classes cancelled within 14 days of start will receive a class credit to be used within one year. Students who do not attend a scheduled class with no contact will forfeit training fees.
