- NRA 8 Hour Basic Shotgun Course

This class is to learn about the fundamentals of shotgun shooting with REAL firearms in the classroom. The class is designed to interduce shotgun shooters to the sport. Students can learn new skills and prepare for next spring’s trap league, or improve hunting skills.
Your Day:
Meet us at the designated location to learn shotgun nomenclature, ammunition fundamentals, how to load, unload, grip, aim and shoot your shotgun safely!
The class will meet at The Yolo Sportsman’s Association, 24189 Aviation Ave, Davis, CA 95616. 9 AM.
Please follow the directions to the Yolo Sportsman’s Association. Students will meet at the classroom just West of the clubhouse.
The range training will focus on the safe and effective use of a shotgun.
Students will learn:
- The Fundamentals of shotgun Shooting
- Range Etiquette
- Loading and Unloading of a shotgun
- Shooting at clay targets
- Practice Until Proficient
RANGE PACKING LIST
Eye and Ear Protection
Lunch, snacks and drinks if desired
Firearms and ammunition (100 rounds of trap loads)
Folding chair for breaks and classroom sessions
Hand towel
Baseball cap closed-toed shoes. No V-necks or tank tops, please.
Sunscreen if needed
