COST: $230 + $15 Range Fees

The NFI Shotgun Home Defense Course is intended for the individual who desires to utilize a shotgun as a home defense firearm.  The course will cover shotgun standard operations as well as skills useful for home defense.  Students will have the opportunity to pattern their shotgun and get comfortable operating and manipulating their own shotgun in a safe but challenging environment.

CLASS DETAILS:

Class will meet at the Redding Gun Club at 21777 Seven Lakes Road Redding Ca 96003 as this entire class will take place at this location.

We will take a lunch at 12pm and eat on the range.

Standard Shotgun Operations and Sling Usage

Patterning Shotgun at common Home Defense distances

Understanding Point of Aim vs Point of Impact

Reloads (Tactical / Emergency)

Handling Malfunctions

Multiple Threat Prioritization and Engagement

Various Shooting Positions

Shooting from Cover

RANGE PACKING LIST:

Please bring the following items to the course:

Shotgun

Shotgun must come equipped with: operational safety, front and rear sight (or optic)

Sling for your Shotgun

150 Shotgun Shells (A box of actual home defense shotgun shells for patterning)

On-gun shotgun shell caddy/carrier (I highly recommend: https://esstac.com/shotgun/) or a means of easily accessing additional shells (fanny pack, etc)

Eye and Ear Protection

Bagged Lunch – Students will no be permitted to leave the range for lunch

Snacks and drinks if desired

Folding chair for breaks at the range

Closed-toed shoes

Cancellation Policy: Training fees include a 50% non-refundable deposit. Cancellations prior to the start of the class will be given a 50% refund of training fees, or a one-time reschedule of training within one year. Students who are absent from any portion of a class without notice will forfeit all training fees. Please contact your instructor as early as possible to cancel your class.
