NOTICE: We suggest you have a CCW application approval from San Joaquin County Sheriff before taking this class. Steps are: 1) Fill out an application online 2) Complete Live Scan as directed by Sheriff’s office 3) Complete 16 HR-approved course with NFI. The current “wait time” for CCW approval is approximately 120 days. NFI Training Certificates are good for six months, so plan your training appropriately.

Currently, this class will meet the training requirement for the following counties: Shasta, Yuba, Sutter, Placer, San Benito, Solano, Sierra, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, El Dorado, Nevada, Fresno, Tulare, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Sonoma, Napa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Colusa, Tehama, Trinity, Siskiyou, and Plumas. CLASS DETAILS:
This two-day (16-hour) course will be taught at:
KW Defense, 1640 N Broadway Ave, Stockton, CA, 95205. 9am-5pm
Students will learn CCW laws, environmental awareness, and critical incident survival. Students will live fire at targets designed to enhance their understanding of personal protection shooting and marksmanship fundamentals.
On each day, we will break for lunch at around 12:00 PM.
RANGE PACKING LIST:
DAY ONE: All Firearms and their magazines to be listed on your CA CCW. (if your county does not mandate you shoot each firearm, then adjust accordingly)
150 cartridges for your primary handgun and 100 cartridges for each additional firearm you want to add to your CCW permit.
Eye and Ear Protection
Baseball cap (or other brimmed caps) closed-toed shoes. No V-necks or tank tops, please.
Snacks and drinks, if desired
Hand towel
DAY TWO: No need to bring anything to class except a notebook and pen. No FIREARMS or AMMO in the classroom.
You will complete the KW Range waiver electronically and the NFI Release of Liability Waiver and Photo Release on the first day of class.

Cancellations prior to the start of the class will be given a 50% refund of training fees, or a one-time reschedule of training within one year. Students who are absent from any portion of a class without notice will forfeit all training fees. Please contact your instructor as early as possible to cancel your class.”
