WHAT: NRA Pistol Instructor Course. Earn your NRA Pistol Instructor Credential and apply in your county to teach California CCW!  Taught by NRA Training Counselor Ted Lidie, students will learn to plan, teach and provide leadership to NRA Basic Pistol students. Once completed successfully, the NRA Instructor can obtain insurance and be ready to teach NRA Basic Pistol Courses for their community!~ Instructor Candidates will plan and conduct their own NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course. Skills will include slide presentations and practical application of all basic pistol shooting skills.

Prerequisites: These are mandatory requirements to become an NRA Pistol Instructor. IMPORTANT! There is a shooting prerequisite to pass this course. You must shoot 24/30 hits into a 9-inch circle at 15 yards. –Bring a pistol with which you can do this. You will have three attempts to meet this requirement. THINK: You probably will not do this with your S&W Shield .40. This is a pistol shooting course. A long-barreled .22 LR Pistol is a much better choice for this class. We have a few if you need to use one.

100 Cartridges Ammunition packages are available in this class for $60.00 for 100 cartridges.

Eye and ear protection.

Instructor Uniform: Collared shirt and short or long pants. Close-toed shoes. (See the instructors at www.usgunpro.com for appropriately dressed instructors).
