Prerequisites for attending the PPITH Instructor Course are as follows:

a. Be a current NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, we are offering this course the week before on 10-28/29-2025.

b. Have attended the student level of PPITH. We are teaching that course here on November 4, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

c. Have attended NRA Basic Instructor Training (Taught on 11/3/25, 10-4 PM) if needed. If you do not need the NRA BIT, your course fees will be refunded by $164 upon proof of completion within the past 24 months, and you will be exempt from day one, November 3, 2025.

This course teaches the presentation of the PPITH curriculum and is a mandate for those who want to teach California CCW. b.  cartridges. (If you use our gun, you can also buy the cartridges from us)

d. Closed-toed shoes

e. Eye and ear protection

f. Gun cleaning kit

g. Writing materials

*If NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is needed to become an NRA Instructor, it will be taught on 11/3/25 at this exact location, 10 AM-4 PM. If you have never had an NRA BIT course, or it has been two years since your last BIT course, you must attend this BIT course to do NRA instructor training on 11/5/25 if desired. (If you complete both days of NRA training, you will have completed your NRA Instructor training as well as completed your CA CCW training requirement in most counties.
