Welcome to NFI! Jen O’Hara and Ted Lidie will be hosting an NRA Basic Shotgun Course on April 10th at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center.  We will begin the classroom portion of the course at 8am.  The classroom location will be sent the week before class starts in your confirmation email.  The range portion of this course will be held at Range 2 from 12pm to 4pm on the same day. This class is a great introduction to shotgun shooting or a requirement for those who are attending the NRA Shotgun Instructor Course on May 21st.

No prerequisites required to attend this course.  Shooters age 8 and above are welcome. One parent may attend at no charge with a youth registration.  Please note that when you register.

We will provide shotguns for students to use, but highly recommend you bring your own shotgun if you have it to become accustomed to using it. You can bring a 12, 20 or 28 gauge shotgun.  If you need a shotgun, please leave a note at registration.  Ammo will not be provided for this course due to cost.  NFI will provide the books needed to complete the course.

We will be hosting an NRA Shotgun Instructor Course at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. We will begin the class at 8am.  Classroom location will be sent the week before class starts in your confirmation email. This class is designed for the firearms training professional and is not a “show up and graduate” course. Students will be taught the “NFI way” to market classes,  prepare for a class, present material,  and run a safe qualification range. NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is taught at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center on May 20th from 9-3pm.  All instructor candidates must have completed BIT within 24 months to become a credentialed rifle instructor.  There is no charge for this class.  Please sign up when you register for the Instructor Course.

Documents will be shared electronically, with students and we will be going over things like social media marketing, etc, so if you have a fear of modern business processes, this class is the one for you!—We are hoping to force you into uncomfortable learning spaces until you get it and join the 21st century!

We will provide all shotguns, but of course, you can bring your own, in fact, we HIGHLY recommend it! If you bring your own to learn with it will make you that much better in front of students!
