This course is taught by NFI Instructor Paul Robins. Paul is a college professor who has also been an instructor at Front Sight Training Institute. He is currently an NRA Certified CCW Instructor and California DOJ CCW Instructor. Come benefit from his extensive classroom and range experience.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This 6-Hour Step II Defensive Pistol class is designed for people who already have their CCW or those who are interested in using a handgun for self-defense. There is an expectation that students are already proficient enough with handguns to be safe and able to load and “keep their guns running” without assistance. Students will be operating out of outside waistband holsters the entire day. If you’re uncertain of your ability, check with the instructor before registering for the class.

The first and primary goal of the Step II class is to teach and train you to safely and effectively draw, fire and safely holster your firearm, with and without concealment. For safety and consistency of training, students must bring an outside the waistband holster, worn on the hip (see description below).

You will also be introduced to and practice administrative loading, emergency and tactical reloading, clearing malfunctions, and some defensive and tactical movement. The drills are simple in nature and will be demonstrated by your instructional staff. This course is designed to be taught at a pace that is both safe and yet challenging. The Step II class is taught on an outdoor range to allow for movement.

This is a 6-hour course from 9AM to 3PM. We will have a working lunch on the range, so pack your lunch, liquids and a snack.

Please download, print, complete and bring to class the attached waivers:
